I have been thinking a lot about the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential impacts on society, especially as it relates to our livelihood. As the population drops, I expect demand to decline yet the AI executives sees a huge need for robots. So, who will be maintaining the demand and buying the robots' output if humans are displaced and unemployed?
It starts with the jobs no one wants. The backbreaking labor, the dangerous tasks, the repetitive drudgery. 'It’s progress,' they say. And most don’t argue, because they were never the ones stacking boxes in the first place. 'This only affects low-wage workers,' the professionals assure themselves. 'Not me...' Until it does.
Is money really greater than feelings? Are your principles really for sale?
